On the morning of July 17th, the ceremony of the signing agreement between Shanghai Xiehe Education Group and Shanghai New Epoch Education Group to cooperate in running a joint education was held Wenzhou Semir United International School. Wenzhou Semir United International School was invested and donated by Semir Group, a famous enterprise in China. The establishment of the school not only reflected the real expectation of Mr. Guanghe Qiu, chairman of Semir Group, for the benefit of his hometown, but also made a pioneering work for the balanced development of education in Ouhai District.

Ms. Maxine Lu, Member of the CPPCC Standing Committee and General Principal of the Xiehe Education Group, said that Xiehe realized Chinese and Western integrated education should better match the local education ecology and better serve the selective educational needs of students in the process of integrating into the local education situation，which began from Shanghai. Therefore, under the promotion and approval from local government, we introduced New Epoch Education Group to participate the school management. On the one hand, successful experience for running schools in Wenzhou can be learnt from excellent peers. On the other hand, cooperating with each other could develop our strengths and provide students with multiple channels for further study. Mr Ruihua Zeng, the Chief Executive of Ouhai District Government, attended the signing ceremony and made an important speech. He firstly introduced major initiatives that Ouhai District Government has taken like prioritizing the development of education, investing large amount money on it, introducing excellent teachers and promoting education reform, which ranks the first in Wenzhou. By taking advantage of flexible trusteeship mechanism, we can introduce various high-quality educational resources to improve the level and quality of education and teaching in Ouhai District. Mr. Ruihua Zeng pointed out that Shanghai Xiehe Education Group introduced Shanghai Epoch Education Group to reach a strategic alliance on the cooperation of Wenzhou Semir United International School. It was not only the embodiment of the demand for cooperation in running schools, but also the urgent expectation of Ouhai District for more comprehensive and higher quality education.
